A Sports week had been held in the CGPIT campus in the second week of March - 2013. The young engineers of CGPIT had very well organized the event in which various events were scheduled on different days in the entire sports week from 4th March 2013 till 9th march 2013. There was afull-fledged participation of not only the young crowdbut also the faculties from the various departments of Engineering in the various indoor as well as outdoor sports events such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Badminton, table tennis, athletics, chess, carom, kho-kho. A teacher plays a vital role in the career of students. The Provost, Dr. Dinesh Shah and BPKM Secretary, Shri Kiritbhai Patel have always aimed to provide holistic education for all-round development of not only the students but also of the teachers of UTU.
A "Self development programme" organised by Uka Tarsadia University, Maliba Campus, conduct various sessions on motivational meditation. The aim of the self development programme is to provide to the teachers an opportunity to learn how to live a balanced life, an ethical material life with a spiritual goal.The interactive sessions are attended by over 200 faculty members of UTU.
